There once was this guy who used to ride his motorcycle to work. And there was this girl who thought, “damn, I need to get to know THAT guy!”. So she did. They had a first date at the Cornerstone in Barre, and decided a second date may be a good thing too. After a few more dates, they started going to concerts and hockey games, discovering that even though they don’t have the same taste in music, that Jayna will go to a metal concert if there’s a sangria bowl involved in advance. Jayna knew the moment she laid eyes on Dan that she was going to marry him some day. Even though she told him somewhere along the line that she might not want to get married again. Dan had no intention of getting married, ever, but then this girl with a big heart and smile worked her way into his life and negotiated that they could get married and that when they did their honeymooon would be a trip of a lifetime, to the TT motorcycle races and two weeks galavanting around castles in England, or somewhere in Europe (whenever we can do that again). A few years later Nikki helped Dan coordinate a proposal in one of their favorite restaurants, Lui Lui’s and Jayna blew it by not ordering dessert. So... she got a “here ya go”, and a slide of a small red box across the table. A few moments of stunned silence later,... she opened the box and did what any intelligent woman would do, asked, “Are you proposing?” I mean, this could just be a present, ya know. Dan said, “yeahhhhh”, and now they’re going to live happily ever after..... Several years after that proposal, they’re finally getting around to tying the knot. Since then, they’ve been to a few more hockey games, adoped a new dog, learned how to garden semi-successfully, and have celebrated graduating a kiddo from college. Somewhere in the middle of then and now we realized that we are better together and want to do together forever. We’re glad you’re part of our special day and look forward to seeing you soon!
