Reception: COVID information

UPDATE: RI has released NEW guidance. Proof of complete COVID vaccination (two weeks post final vaccine dose) can replace the negative COVID test requirement. Rhode Island guidelines require that all guests in attendance must either provide proof of vaccination (two weeks after final vaccine) OR test negative for COVID-19 (by PCR or rapid testing) from a sample collected within the 48 hours leading up to the reception. https://reopeningri.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/03/Protect-Your-Household-Guidance.pdf Upon arrival, we ask that all guests have their ID and either proof of vaccination or proof of a negative test out and ready in order to expedite the check-in process. There will be a Wellness Ambassador onsite who will be checking everyone in and confirming contact information for each guest as part of RI's contact tracing requirement. The Wellness Ambassador will stay for the evening to ensure that all guidelines for RI special events are adhered to for the evening.
Question

How can I get a no-cost COVID test?

Answer

Sign up to receive a BinaxNOW Rapid Test at portal.ri.gov (in RI) or go to a local pharmacy and check the box that you may have been in contact with someone who has tested positive for COVID. Walgreens (at least in Massachusetts) has a drive-through, self administered test that is very quick and easy.
