How it All Started...

02/23/2019

Once upon a time, many years ago, Madison was really miserable in her career, and decided to begin the process of deciding 'what's next'...Long story short, Madison started working for the Wounded Warrior Project in December of 2018. But little did she know, this was the beginning of so much more than just a career! A teammate of Madison's and long time friend of Morrow's invited both to attend her birthday celebration in February 2019, and was unwittingly about to introduce these two to their future spouses! But of course, as the day approached, Madison (as per usual) was feeling less than 'social', doubting whether or not she truly wanted to attend the party. But, a secondary commitment made the decision for her...so off to the party she went, albeit, fashionably late! Meanwhile, even more fashionably late, Morrow was heading for the very same birthday party... As Madison got seated, realizing the only remaining empty seat was next to her, and quickly being utilized to stack dishes etc., she relaxed a bit, and enjoyed chatting and laughing with the birthday girl. A series of screams and exclamations from said birthday girl (including language I won't repeat here) suddenly alerted Madison to the arrival of a new guest... Morrow... who would be forced to take the one, precious, remaining seat...next to Madison. In spite of her cold shoulder and bratty attitude, Morrow pushed to start a conversation with Madison and after striking out several times, he finally unleashed the magic topic that would melt all the ice off of Madison's heart...Battlestar Galactica. From that moment forward, the conversation never stopped between the two love birds...from Instagram, to exchanging numbers just days later, these two knew this chance encounter was about to lead to great things!

Our First Date!

03/02/2019

After meeting, it only took about a week's worth of chatting via social media before Morrow asked Madison for her actual phone number, which upon receiving, immediately used to ask her on an OFFICIAL date! A time and place was chosen, and that following Saturday, the pair met for lunch at Reinhause in Tacoma. Madison arrived too early and waited nervously for Morrow to arrive, nervous she wouldn't recognize him...but then, in walked the man in the orange down jacket, and swallowing an eye roll and a giggle, she stood up and greeted Morrow. Despite Morrow's warning that he had to leave by a certain time, the two laughed away over four hours in their booth seat together, and Morrow never made it to his next engagement... As we parted ways, we both immediately notified people closest to us that we "have met someone!", and before the day was over, the two had planned their second date...for the very next day! That second date led to a third, a third to a fourth and the rest...well that's what brought us here <3

Our Engagement Story

May the Fourth be with us ALWAYS!

In March of 2020, Madison and Morrow had just moved in together when the pandemic hit. Jokingly, Morrow said that if they "survived quarantine" then they "could survive anything" and that then they would get engaged...Little did Madison know, that plans were already in place for the most perfect proposal! Madison never wanted a big 'show' or a holiday engagement...and Morrow heard her loud and clear. So he planned to hit her with the one 'holiday' proposal she couldn't refuse. May 4th, International Star Wars Day, happens to be Madison's favorite holiday (obviously!) and as the day came to an end and the two were crawling into bed for the night, Morrow concocted a way to discuss ring sizes and to get Madison to remove the ring she always wore on her left hand. Expecting Morrow to hand her ring back, Madison's attention was divided...when suddenly he slipped an unfamiliar ring onto her finger, flipped out the lights and said "I think you should wear this one instead, from now on." After a very pregnant pause from Madison, who was trying to get her head straight, stammering and trying to understand what had just happened, Morrow finally turned on the light so she could see the new ring, and he could ask her the question she'd been waiting to hear her entire life. Of course the answer was "YES!" and as such, our adventure has begun!
