Things To Do

The Wedding Website of Ashley Potts and Kevin Morrisroe
We're so excited to share a few of our favorite things to do in the area, as well as some family-friendly activities for those who may have children in town with them before/after the wedding!
Indianapolis Indians Minor League Baseball

Indianapolis Indians Minor League Baseball

501 West Maryland Street, Indianapolis, IN 46225

The Indianapolis Indians are playing at Victory Field against the Iowa Cubs on Friday night (8/25/23) at 7:05pm and Sunday afternoon (8/27/23) at 1:35pm (they are also playing Saturday night at 7:05pm, but you might be a little busy then). The games are fun for the whole family and would be great to check out when you first get to town or on Sunday before you head out!

Indianapolis Zoo

Indianapolis Zoo

1200 West Washington Street, Indianapolis, IN 46222
, (317) 630-2001

Lions, tigers, and bears... oh my!

The Children's Museum of Indianapolis

The Children's Museum of Indianapolis

3000 North Meridian Street, Indianapolis, IN 46208
, (317) 334-4000

The world's largest children's museum, and is a fun place to visit for the whole family! Open Tuesday - Sunday 10am - 5pm.

Indiana State Museum

Indiana State Museum

650 West Washington Street, Indianapolis, IN 46204
, (317) 232-1637

Right next door to the Eiteljorg (our wedding venue) and part of the White River State Park along the canal downtown, this museum has exhibits on science, art, culture, and history of Indiana. They also have the state's largest IMAX screen. Kevin and I went to see Interstellar here on the big screen back in the day, and had a blast!

Easley Winery

Easley Winery

205 North College Avenue, Indianapolis, IN 46202
, (317) 636-4516

Wine tasting... do I need to say more?

The Rathskeller

The Rathskeller

401 East Michigan Street, Indianapolis, IN 46204
, (317) 636-0396

Open Sun - Wed 11am - 9pm and Thu - Sat 11am - 10pm. Have a very fun beer garden outside, often with live music on Saturday's!

Circle Centre Mall

Circle Centre Mall

49 West Maryland Street, Indianapolis, IN 46204
, (317) 681-8000

Everyone loves shopping! Kevin and I used to kill time at this mall waiting for the bus between Indy and Chicago when we visited one another on college winter breaks (and neither of us had a reliable enough car to make the drive in the snow!)

Newfields

Newfields

4000 North Michigan Road, Indianapolis, IN 46208
, (317) 923-1331

A fun option with lots of different activities offered!

Topgolf

Topgolf

9200 East 116th Street, Fishers, IN 46037
, (765) 212-3488

Big dog's gotta eat! If you won't be golfing first thing Saturday morning like Kevin, you can always check out Top Golf in Fishers (about 20-30 minutes outside of downtown). Good food and drinks, and lots of fun! If you haven't been before, you will likely want a reservation.

Fort Harrison State Park

Fort Harrison State Park

6000 North Post Road, Indianapolis, IN 46216
, (317) 591-0904

Further away from downtown, but a nice getaway if you want something further out from the city. A state park that has picnicking and walking/jogging trails. We used to go here all the time as a family in the fall, and jump and slide down the hills with the fallen leaves (a true Potts family tradition). We also did innumerable cross country workouts here in high school. There won't be any leaves to slide on in August, but still a fun place to visit if you'd like a scenic walk around the pond!

For all the days along the way
