Explore Shelter Island
Catch the ferry from Greenport to Shelter Island, a serene island nestled between the North and South Forks that offers a unique perspective of the region. Here you can visit several beaches, grab a meal at SALT Waterfront Bar & Grill while overlooking the boat docks, or hike around Mashomack Preserve, a 2000+ acre coastal nature preserve with a rich mix of human and natural history (more information and trail maps available at the link below)
