We met at our university's graduation in 2016. The staff were directing graduates to their seats. Somehow, we ended up sitting next to each other in the same row. He told me that he liked my graduation cap and we talked for the entire ceremony. We exchanged contact information, spoke a few days later, and several conversations later - our love story began with our first date in summer 2016.

In Nov 2019, we went out for indoor go karting with a couple of friends. When we finished our races at the end of the night, everyone went out to the parking lot. Lawrence told everyone thank you for coming out and he gave me two gifts that represented memories we had from summer 2019. When I opened the last gift, I saw a box, but I wasn't sure what was inside. When I opened the box, I saw a beautiful engagement ring! Then, Lawrence got down one knee and asked me to marry him. As I answered with an excited yes, our friends cheered us on. Little did I know that Lawrence had been planning this surprise proposal for a while and he specifically chose a go karting place in Long Island so we could go back to where our story started. We can't wait to celebrate our wedding day with you!
