On this day, Josh's sister, Mayson, had her surprise sweet sixteenth birthday party. It just so happened that Manchester Valley High School's homecoming dance was just around the corner and Alex needed a date. While they were at the party, two of Alex's friends approached Josh and told him to go and talk to Alex because they thought that they would make a good match. Josh accepted and talked to Alex for a while, and the rest is history!

Josh planned a special day for Alex, consisting of a scavenger hunt to places that were significant to them and their relationship. He brought along a Polaroid camera to capture a special moment at each stop. For the final location, Josh had picked out a spot along the Inner Harbor in Baltimore to "pop the question." There, Josh got down on one knee and asked Alex to marry him--and she said YES!
