In September of 2020, Caroline was living in Auburn working as a co-op student, and Zach was living in Prattville working as a credit analyst. Their love story began the way all great love stories do: they both swiped right on Tinder. Their first date was at a fancy restaurant in Auburn, where Zach got a low-cost item, so he could splurge on his date (if you know Zach, you know that’s only half true), and Caroline felt bad about making him spend more on her than himself, so she got an appetizer as her meal. They talked in that booth until the restaurant closed down for the night and then talked even more outside; neither wanted the date to end. Just two months later, they drove 11 hours to Texas together so Zach could join Caroline’s family for Thanksgiving — a little crazy, we know. After spending Christmas apart, Caroline had to move back to Tuscaloosa for school. That next semester Zach drove down every weekend so they could be together, and Caroline introduced him to every facet of life at the University of Alabama. The next 3 years were full of Alabama football games, many many drives between Prattville and Tuscaloosa, and the adoption of a sweet calico cat named Saffy, AKA Miss Kitty. The day of Caroline’s MBA graduation, after the ceremony, in front of both of their parents, Zach popped the question! Now a year later, we are inviting you to come celebrate our marriage, and we can’t wait for an evening of dinner and dancing with our favorite people!
