We matched on Hinge and quickly clicked. Jen made the first move but I was quick to follow. Our first date lasted about five hours as we started off with dinner at The Garage and ended with great conversation and grabbing a drink at Cabin Boys. I wanted to get together the next day but Jen said she had to work and wasn't sure she would be able to, so you all know she made it work and the rest is history!
Jake and Jenny had planned a trip to Jen's favorite city, Charleston, SC for her birthday. Jake asked if getting some pictures done while on the trip for Jen's birthday was something that she would like to do which of course she did but was very suspicious as to why Jake would want to. There had been talks of rings and getting engaged but Jake, and Jen's best friend Robyn, assured her it wasn't happening anytime soon so she should enjoy the trip and photo shoot but to not expect anything. The photographer was getting us into position and "testing the lighting" he turned Jenny around and said to stay still while the photographer checked something on his camera. He then said that it wasn't working so to turn back around, when she did Jake was down on a knee. He asked and she of course said YES! Jenny’s ring is so special to them as two of the stones are from her late Grandmother's ring. 2021 was a weird year but they are glad they found each other! They couldn’t imagine their lives without each other and we hope you all are able to join them on their special day in June when they get to tell each other “I Do” forever!
