Master of Ceremonies
Alex is the brother and closest confidant of the bride. Kelsey has known him his whole life, and even if she didn’t always like him when growing up, she always loves him. Kelsey had the honor of officiating Alex's wedding to Hilary (see below) this past September, sit's only fitting that Alex has stepped in to fill the roll of "Master of Ceremonies" for Kelsey and Peter.
Officient Emeritus
Bérénice and Kelsey have known each other since they were teeny tiny children, thanks to the long-standing friendship between their parents. She has also since become a very close friend of Peters (and because she is of Swiss nationality, she was the most neutral selection for the role of Officiant). Unfortunately, due to travel restraints, Bérénice will no longer be able to attend in person but will be contributing to the ceremony script. She will be missed!
Lady of Honor
Lucy met the bride on day 1 of college, and they have been the best of friends ever since. Lucy was even there when Peter proposed to Kelsey, and knew about it the whole time even though she lied to Kelsey and said she didn’t know anything. It’s cool though.
Best Lady
Lindsay met the groom at the CIA in St. Helena. They would like you to think they bonded over shared culinary perspectives, but honestly it was more the judging of class mates, fonts, and Doctor Who that bonded them. Peter has always known for years that Lindsay would be his Best Lady, even though he wasn't in her wedding party AT ALL! He has totally moved past this though.
Bridesmaid
Kelsey and Peter first met Megan when they were introduced by her then new boyfriend, George Chenaux (now husband - see above). Upon meeting Megan, Kelsey pestered her with questions such as “how long have you been dating” and “are you moving to LA with him?” Mostly, Kelsey just really wanted things to work out because she immediately felt a connection with Megan. It’s clearly worked out, and with them back in the Bay Area, the couples can plan many BBQs and family vacations together!
Groomsman
George is the grooms younger cousin, and while they grew up a long way from each other, and would only see each other every few years, they finally had a chance to become friends when they both ended up in Northern California. It was then that they found out their sense of humour must come from the Chenaux side of the family, but that rugged good looks must be from the Gutman side.
Bridesmaid
Kate was sent a Facebook message by the bride before they even met, inviting her to be part of Kelsey’s cookbook club. The club didn’t last very long, but their friendship has! Now they only live a five minute walk from each other, which is great because Kelsey gets to play with Kates dog, Billie whenever she wants!
Groomsman
Peter and Matt once lived together, and have been friends ever since. This is not true, however, as Peter has no recollection of living with Matt and still thinks Matt is trying to gaslight him. But Matt did let Peter (along with Kelsey) officiate his wedding, so they must have become friends somehow! Maybe it's senility, maybe it's their love of sour beers, maybe it's a weird Twilight Zone episode?
Bridesmaid
Claire and the bride met in college, and their friendship blossomed when they were thrown into a group of strange women pledging their loyalty to wine and silver blue. After surviving four years of that, Kelsey and Claire were closer than ever and in 2013 even planned a trip to Italy together, which only included one serious argument.
Groomswoman
Peter met Rebeca through playing Bocce, and that's about as sporty as these two get. They bonded over mezcal, food, and their complete bafflement over Americans. She's a straight shooter, and will always tell it like it is, such as how crappy she thinks this description of their relationship is.
Bridesmaid
Christine is one of Kelsey's best friends from college, and she even was the first person to take Kelsey to the Napa Valley when they were 21! Although they were on opposite coasts for many years, they stayed close throughout and when Christine moved to San Francisco a few years back, they were able to recreate their special times in Napa, over and over again.
Groomsman
Peter and Joe have probably had more conversations about vegetables than any two adults should reasonably have. With Peter's access to meat and Joe's ability to grow almost anything, these two are a force when it comes to dinner parties... if only they actually liked hanging out with groups of people more often.
Bridesmaid
Kelsey stayed at Shaina's home while Peter was housesitting, before she and Shaina had even met! They soon became fast friends, bonding over their love for rosé wine (obvi) and their mad bocce skills. During one said bocce game, Shaina and Kelsey devised the plan that would seal the deal for Biden to win the 2020 election: Kamala Harris must be his running mate to win the vote of liberal women such as us. Because of this, they take full credit for the election win.
Groomsman
Nikolas first knew of the groom as the strange quiet guy that hid in his room when he was visiting Peters housemate. Once Peter found out Nikolas had Canadian roots, he popped his head out from time to time and they managed to have actual real life conversations! The friendship was sealed when said housemate had a baby and Nikolas often offered Peter a quiet, empty house as trade for free dog sitting. It was on one of these occasions that Peter cooked his first meal for Kelsey.
Bridesmaid from Afar
Katie has known the bride SINCE THIRD GRADE. Katie liked Kelsey because she had blond curly hair and Kelsey liked Katie because she had cool erasers. They have since found many other things to like about each other. And even though they live thousands of miles apart from each other, they're friendship has remained strong and true thanks to bi-weekly FaceTime meetings. Katie gave birth to her first child on March 12, so she will be attending the wedding in spirit. Congrats to Katie!

Hilary is Kelsey's sister-in-law and wife of the Master of Ceremonies, Alex Morrison. Kelsey has known Hilary for twenty years, and since her courtship with Alex the two have spent much time together, enjoying lots of wine tasting, BBQing, pool lounging, and general Morrison-themed shenanigans. Hilary is a calming presence in the Morrison family - just like Peter. Hilary and Alex are expecting their first child in July, so Hilary has regretfully decided to stay home and rest during the wedding festivities. She will be deeply missed but we're excited for the new addition to the Morrison family!
