We met the way many modern love stories begin—at work. Our departments at Bass Pro Shops were right next to each other, which made it very easy to “check in” on one another throughout the day. Those quick visits slowly turned into longer ones, and before we knew it, we were spending more time in each other’s departments than our own (sorry, Bass Pro lol). After plenty of smiles, conversations, and a lot of encouragement from fate, I finally worked up the courage to ask Olivia out for ice cream after work. Until she said no. I thought I ruined our chances at being anything more than friends. But… she felt bad and rethought her decision. And thankfully, she gave me another shot. That second chance turned out to be the best decision either of us ever made. Since then, we’ve shared countless adventures together—from various trips and camping under the stars to our favorite beach days, and everything else in between. We’ve built a relationship full of laughter, patience, and love, discovering that we’re truly better together than apart. What started with neighboring departments and an almost–missed ice cream date has grown into a life we’re so excited to share. We can’t wait to continue our greatest adventure yet—together, forever.
