When Tatiana first met Michael in August of 2021, there wasn't much thought of romance. They started out as friends. Michael was renting a room, and Tatiana needed some help with some household tasks and to care for her sweet puppy Misio. The night Michael helped her bandage the Pomeranian's little broken front leggies was the first hint of Michael's kind and caring nature. Soon after, when Tatiana needed the dishwasher disposal fixed or a light changed, Michael was always willing to lend a helping hand. She was very grateful, thanking him by making home-cooked meals made with love and appreciation. Many road trips later, including down the coast of the US, across Poland, and through Prague, Italy and Switzerland, they've found themselves back in Miami, lucky to have the love they always dreamed of. More trips have happened since, all leading to the moment Michael asked Tatiana to be his wife one night during the Hot Air Balloon Fest in Miami. He told her about how she should have a fairy tale, sharing a sweet story as if from storybook. Once upon a time, a man loved a woman so much that he went deep into the forest and met a goldsmith. He begged the man to teach him how to make a ring signifying his deep love for her. For that purpose, Michael made three for his Tatiana. First, a brass band with his initials etched into it, then a sterling silver and sapphire ring, and finally, a gold and diamond ring. He melted metals, carved the cast, forged them with his own hands, and asked for his beloved's hand in marriage. In case you couldn't tell since the story was so romantic, in real life, Michael actually was taught how to make the rings. Pictures can be found on this website. :) Of course, Tatiana said yes, for Michael is the true love she has waited for her whole life. Now, their love will be blessed by God at their local church Gesu, a 130-year-old historical Roman Catholic church just a few blocks from their condo overlooking Biscayne Bay. They chose it because Tatiana received her confirmation there, and they know that every time they walk by, they will remember that magical day where all their dreams came true and they became husband and wife.
