Atlantic Beach

While the North Carolina locals may not think October is beach weather, those of us from the Northeast may. North Carolina weather in October is often beautiful! The ocean is still warmer than it is in the summer in New England, so enjoy some time in the sun and sand as you escape the cold.

MumFest

MumFest is an annual event in New Bern, NC that happens to be on the same weekend as our wedding. We have not been ourselves, but we have heard great things! There is live music, restaurants, bars, shops, amusement rides, an auto and RV show, and of course floral displays featuring chrysanthemums!

Sports Center

If you're looking to get in a workout and the hotel gym isn't enough, check out Morehead City Sports Center. Just walk in to get a day pass. It is $15 for students, military, or seniors (sorry I don't know the rate if you aren't one of those)

Jack's On The Waterfront

This beautiful waterfront restaurant has fantastic food! Stop by the 2nd floor for dinner then go downstairs and enjoy the bar and live music. There will likely be a cover charge of about $5 for the downstairs bar.
