Maid of Honor
Friend of the Bride and Groom - Sedalia, CO Bethany - AKA 'Bets'! We met at Lost Valley Ranch, and after a couple seasons became close friends and roommates for several seasons. My experience during my time at the ranch and throughout my relationship with Zach would look entirely different without the wise, strong and humorous advice that Bets has shown in our friendship.
Best Man
Brother of the Groom - Fort Collins, CO Spence and I were always close growing up (being only 16 months apart helped!). We always did a lot together, both as kids and throughout high school. After a few years apart we ended up working together at the Ranch. There our friendship deepened, and I came to really value his advice and thoughts. He has been influential in my pursuit of Moriah. Whether we were finding a new bouldering location, talking over a tobacco pipe, or more recently grabbing a beer or some dinner, he has continued to be a close friend and one of the first people I go to for advice or just to talk!
Bridesmaid
Sister of the Bride - Boston, MA Juliana is my eldest sister and my first role model. She is the person I have always and will forever look up to, value, and appreciate in my life. She is my go to ‘fix it’ sister and someone who will always be there to love and hold me accountable. Juliana is also the instigator of the occasional "Jordan sister dishwashing singalong extravaganza", which has been the cause of many laughter-filled memories in our kitchens growing up.
Groomsman
Brother of the Groom - Holland, MI Schaeffer was the "younger brother" always keen to jump in with whatever we were up to! As I moved away for college and then to work at the Ranch, I wasn't around as much as I would have liked. That said, it has been incredible to see how much he has matured and the person he has been in high school. Everything I have heard and seen in the last 4 years has led me to respect the person he is immensely, and I'm excited to see him start his next chapter at Olivet (as well as stand with me in August!)!
Bridesmaid
Sister of the Bride - Greenville, SC Taegen is my youngest sister and sibling and full of life and fun! Taegen and I were known as the ‘little girls’ and were pretty much always together growing up - whether we wanted it or not - but this is something that I am so grateful for now that we’re older and not so close in proximity. She is the wise and exciting sister that I can always count on to give me good advice and make sure to remind me to have fun in the little moments.
Groomsman
Friend of the Groom - Grandville, MI Aaron and I first met in 8th grade after my departure from the alternate reality that is home schooling! We became friends quickly and, as I would realize later, mostly because of his exceptional kindness. While we had a lot in common, his genuine friendship laid the foundation for what continues to this day. Despite distance and time, I can still count him as a close friend and someone I know I could always call.
Bridesmaid
Friend of the Bride and Groom - Sedalia, CO Ginny and I also met at Lost Valley Ranch, and her big, contagious laughter has always been a constant in my life since we met. I love how she is always ready for a walk, some real-talk sittin' on the porch swing, a big hug, or all three!
Groomsman
Friend of the Groom - Grand Rapids, MI Dave and I met while running cross country in high school. Perhaps we initially bonded in the shared madness which drives people to run in circles all week in order to wake up early on a Saturday and run a little faster in a bigger, muddier circle. Who knows. What I do know is that Dave and I became friends, and to this day I still count him as one of my best friends. I have so many great memories with Dave, whether from cross camp, late night talks and laughs, or long weekends home from Colorado. Our friendship is another I'm happy to say has withstood time and distance.
Bridesmaid
Friend of the Bride - Greenville, SC Taylor and I have been friends since our middle school days! She is my baking buddy and always up for a pedicure and a good conversation. Taylor is someone I know I will always count on, no matter how many miles separate us.
Groomsman
Friend of the Groom - Holland, MI Michael is another great friend from back home! While we were always friends, I would say our friendship has gotten a lot stronger over the last 6 years. He is someone I have really enjoyed seeing when I'm in Michigan. We have had some great conversations and lots of laughs. He is always down to get together, even if the only time we can make it work is a far to early breakfast! Once again, despite years and many miles, Michael is another close friend I can always count on (especially if I need a lesson in the art of winning Catan!).
Bridesmaid
Sister of the Groom, Friend of the Bride - Holland, MI Juliette AKA Jewel, is one of Zach's sisters and a wonderful friend! She and I met while working together at Lost Valley Ranch and became fast friends. Jewel is quick with a pun or encouragement and is always up for some quality time. I loved and valued our time working together and am so excited to call her sister!
Groomsman
Friend of the Bride and Groom - Fort Collins, CO Zach and I have had a hilarious journey to friendship. We met at the Ranch one summer while both working for the maintenance crew. In the midst of my great struggles that summer I didn't realize the friendship that would later develop. When Zach returned the following year to work in the kitchen we began to become good friends. He would soon become one of my best friends and later my roommate for a year. Whether we were playing Halo and eating Takis, or more often varying board/card games, or just having another great conversation (all of which were most likely littered with puns), he was and is still one of my closest and respected friends.
Bridesmaid
Friend of the Bride - Atlanta, GA Christie and I have known each other since birth, and she has been my long time forever friend. She and I grew up together in Florida, creating plays and interesting foods in our childhood. The distance seems to melt away whenever we get together and I am so grateful to have Christie in my life.
Groomsman
Friend of the Bride and Groom - Fort Collins, CO Jed and I met this past year when we became roommates. Despite my hectic lack of presence at the house last fall, we were still able to become friends. Every time we'd end up talking we would still be talking far later than either of us intend or should have been awake. Our friendship has continued to grow this spring (turns out taking on only a responsible amount of work and school means you actually see people sometimes!), and I'm happy to say both Moriah and I value his friendship. Jed and I share a high priority for many of the same values, and I'm excited to continue our friendship!
Bridesmaid
Sister of the Groom - Holland, MI Another amazing sister of the Groom! Sophie is a fun loving and encouraging friend. I've enjoyed getting to know her during times at the ranch and visits to Michigan, and I am so looking forward to more opportunities to grow in our friendship by welcoming her as another sister!
Groomsman
Shane...or Dad to me...has been highly influential in my life as well as my relationship with Moriah. Despite the intense difficulties I created in high school, he was always willing to talk with me. Today, he is one of the first people I go to when I want to talk about anything. I am incredibly grateful that I can call him a friend. Whether we are home talking, playing cards, or on some adventure, I am fortunate to say we will enjoy that time. I am excited to have him stand with me in August!
