Life is funny - You try and pick the perfect date, time of year, give yourself time to plan - And then your wedding falls in the middle of a pandemic. With that being said, we look forward to celebrating (almost!) 1 year married with our closest friends and family on Thursday, June 17. We understand a Thursday is not an ideal day for most, and completely understand if you cannot attend. Again thank you so much for your patience and support! We love you all!
Our love story began like so many others before it: on a cold March evening in beautiful and luxurious Hartford, Connecticut. It was March of 2015, and while we had never spoken, we were both in Hartford working for the Temple University Athletic Department. A few staffers were gathering at a local bar for some drinks after the day’s events were over, and before long, as the night was coming to an end, we realized we had only talked to each other. A few weeks later, we had our first official date at Il Cantuccio (RIP) in Northern Liberties, and our relationship was off and running. In April, we got into titles and made it official over burgers at Pub & Kitchen. Over the next few years, our love would grow over grilled cheese at McGillin's, penne alla vodka at La Viola, pizza and wings at Stogies Joe’s, and soft serve with sprinkles from Rita’s. In July of 2017, we moved into our first apartment together in the Pennsport section of South Philadelphia. Our love grew even stronger over botched IKEA furniture and more of the same food. Strong enough that in September of 2018 on Jake's birthday, we got engaged at the Race Street Pier and celebrated with friends and family. In July of 2019, we moved into our second apartment together, this one in Kansas City, Missouri. ***And one more move later we have landed in Lawrence. We are overjoyed to finally tie the knot on June 17 back home in Pennsylvania and are so grateful to everyone that supported us and contributed to our getting here!
