Nestled in the heart of the English countryside, Ashridge House is a historic estate with a rich royal legacy. Originally built as a monastery in 1283, it later became a grand residence for Henry VIII’s children, including Queen Elizabeth I. In fact, Elizabeth was arrested here in 1552 under suspicion of plotting against her sister, Queen Mary I, before ultimately becoming one of England’s greatest monarchs.
The house as it stands today is a stunning neo-Gothic masterpiece, designed in the 19th century by renowned architect James Wyatt. During World War II, Ashridge House played a vital role as a military hospital, caring for wounded soldiers.
Fun Fact: Thanks to its regal charm and picturesque beauty, Ashridge House has been featured in "The Crown," "Bridgerton," and even "Harry Potter."
We are thrilled to celebrate our wedding in such a historic and breathtaking setting and can’t wait to share this unforgettable experience with you!
