Do I have to stay at the Beaufort Hotel?

While we recommend staying on-site for convenience and ease of access to all events, you are by no means required to stay at the hotel. The charming town of Beaufort and its surrounding areas offer a variety of beautiful accommodations that may better suit your preferences or needs. Whether you choose the host hotel or a nearby option, we’re just excited to have you join us for the celebration!

Are kids welcome?

Answer

We’re happy to share that a certified babysitter will be on-site to care for children ages eight and under (with the exception of those in the wedding party) during the ceremony and the early part of the reception. While we adore our littlest guests, we want all of our friends and family to be able to relax, be fully present and enjoy this special moment without distractions. Once the formalities have wrapped up and the dance floor opens to everyone, children are more than welcome to rejoin the celebration and dance the night away with us!

What is the dress code for the wedding ceremony and reception?

Answer

We kindly ask that our guests dress in formal attire for the wedding. While it's not black tie, the overall feel of our wedding weekend is timeless, classy, and elegant, and we’d love for everyone to look polished and put-together. Early May in southeastern North Carolina tends to be warm and pleasantly mild, with average daytime temperatures in the 70s to low 80s. Evenings are typically mild and comfortable, expect temperatures in the mid-60s to low 70s after sunset with a light breeze. For men: suits or sport coats with dress shirts are perfect - ties are optional but welcome. For women: cocktail dresses, long dresses, or dressy jumpsuits are all great choices. Just aim to dress your best and feel great - we can’t wait to celebrate with you in style!

Will the Wedding be indoors or outdoors?

Answer

Weather permitting, our wedding ceremony will be held outdoors. The cocktail hour and reception will follow on a covered balcony and indoor ballroom.
