We're Getting Married!

By the time Giana was 29 years old, she realized she probably wasn’t going to find her future husband on Bumble or Hinge. She much preferred a chance encounter and a good story. As they say, be careful what you wish for, because a chance encounter is exactly what she got. In September 2019, Giana’s mom was out of town, so Giana went to dinner with her dad at Calaveras Cantina in Harbourside Place in Jupiter. When they got there, an event was taking place, so the valet stand was closed and they had to park farther away. While walking to the restaurant, Giana saw a handsome Jupiter police officer. She texted her co-worker Jillian, who’s husband worked for the same department and asked if he was working that night. Sadly, Matt was off, and Giana didn’t see the cop after dinner, and so she quickly forgot about him. Fast forward 2 months later to November and Giana and Jillian were at work Monday morning when Matt texted Jillian with a name, “Chris Morgan”, a phone number and message: “This is the cop Giana thought was hot that time, and he said that she should text him.” It took Giana a minute to even realize who Matt was talking about. She barely remembered what the guy looked like (tall, dirty blonde hair?) but accepted the phone number and texted him when she got off work that night. Chris was on the night shift but replied quickly and after a few messages back and forth, said he was off that weekend and asked if she wanted to get together. Knowing next to nothing about him, she accepted anyway. Their first date was that Friday, the day after Thanksgiving. He picked her up in his convertible and they went to dinner followed by a brewery. Before the night was over, he asked her if she wanted to join him the next night for a Panthers hockey game with his best friend and his wife. She happily accepted and they had their second date a mere 24 hours later, where they ended up on the kiss cam! The rest, as they say, is history.
