The Liberal Cup (Hallowell) A local favorite for craft beer, pub food, and a relaxed atmosphere. Slate’s Bakery (Hallowell) Perfect for breakfast or a coffee stop—known for pastries, sandwiches, and homemade treats. Holy Donut (Augusta) A Maine must-try! Famous potato donuts with unique flavors.

Worth the Drive

Camden, Maine (~1 hour) A picturesque coastal town with harbor views, boutique shopping, and hiking (or drive up the scenic road) in Camden Hills State Park. One of our favorite nearby spots! Boothbay Harbor (~45 minutes) Classic Maine seaside charm, boat tours, and coastal restaurants.

Hallowell Waterfront Park Charming river views, picnic spots, and a lovely place to walk around historic downtown Hallowell. Belgrade Lakes Region (~30 minutes away) Crystal-clear lakes, scenic views, and classic Maine landscapes—great for kayaking, swimming, or relaxing by the water.
