Matt and MaKenzie met at their place of work, ProctorU, in 2017. After a few months of saying "Hello" in passing at the office, they became acquaintances and developed a friendship. They soon agreed to casually begin seeing each other, and their connection was undeniable, and they decided to make it "Facebook" official on January 26, 2018. As they say in the books and movies... "The rest was history". Shortly after, Matt and MaKenzie decided to take their relationship to the next level. They moved into an apartment in Hoover, Alabama and began to build their life together! Many laughs were shared, late night movies watched, puppies adopted, and man did they learn a lot about each other in that year. The good, the bad, and the LAUNDRY! They quickly outgrew the little one bedroom apartment, and the search for somewhere they could settle was on. With the help of family - they found the perfect place. On April 12, 2019, Matt purchased their first home in Helena, AL. They have called Helena home for 2 years now and couldn't be happier. They made their sweet house a home, have grown together in faith and, of course, adopted another dog! Matt and MaKenzie's engagement was in the beautiful Tennessee mountains on January 23, 2021 while on a weekend getaway in a cozy cabin. MaKenzie might have even said "Yes" before Matt was able to ask her to marry him (she most definitely did). They spent the weekend horseback riding, moonshine tastin' and loving each others company. It could not have been more magical! As they start the next chapter of their lives, Matt and MaKenzie, built a beautiful new home together in Helena, AL. They moved in on November 13, 2021 with their two dogs Izzy and Rue. Here - they plan to begin their lives as newlyweds with the hopes of one day starting a family of their own.
