We first met in the spring of 2014 on our flight home from Birthright. Though we had been on separate trips, fate had a funny way of bringing us together. We ended up sitting next to each other on the flight and struck up a brief conversation, quickly realizing that we had grown up in the same town. A few months later, We unexpectedly crossed paths again at a summer fundraising event. This time, their meeting set the stage for what was to come. Ten years after that flight, we matched on a dating app—proving that some connections are simply meant to be. What started as a chance encounter on a red-eye flight and a few brief run-ins over the years had come full circle in the most unexpected and beautiful way. Now, a decade later, we are getting married, and can’t help but believe it was meant to be from the start.
