With everything shut down, we found a way to make it work: breakfast at The Smith, seated outdoors, surrounded by the chaos of NYC and just enough awkward first-date energy. Even in that strange world of masks and social distancing, things felt easy with each other from the start. Since then, life together has been a mix of simple joys: long walks, dinners out, binging way too much TV, and most of all — constant laughter. We're always laughing. It's kind of our thing. These days, we share our home (and most of our furniture) with two very opinionated cats, Dory and Ziti, who keep us on our toes and occasionally let us sit on the couch. In March 2025, after finishing the NYC Half Marathon, one of us (sweaty, tired, and very much in running gear) got down on one knee — and the other said yes. It was the perfect finish line.
