Our wedding venue is located in an area called Brando. Within Brando, are multiple villages including Erbalunga. This is an ancient fishing village. The Genoese Tower, picturesque streets and fishing port; active since the Middle Ages, make it a place full of charm and interest.
Explore the Cap Corse! The wedding venue is located in this region of Corsica. There are a lot of beautiful, historic villages throughout the Cap Corse like Erbalunga, Miomo, Centuri, Macinaggio, Porticciolo etc. Take a day to explore it by driving along the coast to the north and stopping by the villages. The views are incredible!
For those who want to explore the surroundings outside of Brando, Saleccia is one of the most beautiful beaches in Corsica. To get there you need to drive about 1hour to Saint Florent, then take a boat to the beach. Check out https://www.lepopeye.com/taxi-boat-saleccia-3-fr.html for more infos on the prices and schedule. We highly recommend seeing this as it's really worth the trip!
This hike is one of the most famous in Corsica. While the whole hike might be too difficult , you can decide to do part one or part two depending on how adventurous you are. The hike goes from Macinaggio to Barcaggio (about 3hours), then Barcaggio to Tolarre (45mins) and then Tollare to Centuri (4 hours). The walk offers several types of landscapes, from beaches and sands dunes to rocky mountains.
Bastia is the 2nd largest city in Corsica, it's also 30 minutes away from the wedding venue. It's a cute city with lots of shopping and great restaurants. Our favorite ice cream shop is called Raugi and located on 2 bis Rue du Chanoine Colombani ( really the yummiest Ice Cream! ) and Morgane's favorite store is Casanera located on 20 rue Cesar Campinchi. This shop carries beautiful jewelry and amazing local perfumes and skincare . Check out the website link for more food and activity recommendations.
