Zebulun and I first met as coworkers at Goodwill in 2022. In the beginning, we did not speak much to each other besides the occasional, “Can you get me a new box, please?” and a reluctant grunt from Zebulun — until I started to butter him up with jokes here and there. Eventually, our friendship blossomed, and I finally mustered up the courage to ask Zebulun to add me on Facebook. We began talking on the phone, playing games together, going out to events, and spending more and more time with each other. I was hesitant at first to express my feelings once I realized I had them, so I stayed silent for quite some time until eventually I could not seem to hold them in anymore. God was working through both of us, and it led us to finally confess our love for one another — and so began our relationship. From pretty early on, we both knew we wanted to get married, as our relationship only seemed to deepen the friendship we already had. We do not want to keep wasting time away from each other like we did for so many years, so here’s to the New Chapter Cummings. 10.10.26
