September 1st is the RSVP deadline! Please be sure to submit your RSVP here on our website to give us ample time to update our caterer and venue, so that we can provide you with the best time, food, and seating.
We would like to request that our guests dress in cocktail attire, and we would love to see you in your best fall colors! Please try to refrain from wearing any shade of white, cream, ivory, and fair pastel colors per the bride's request. Please see this link for attire inspiration if you're unsure! https://pin.it/1T5yTnQm6
We understand our wedding venue is in a more remote location. This is because our venue was originally a residential manor home and barn in Pennsylvania, built before George Washington was born! The most important thing to note is that the only entrance to our wedding venue is found on Glen Road. Sometimes, certain map applications may try to take you to a "back entrance" that no longer exists. This property is expansive, and this previously existing entrance will not lead you to our ceremony or reception. Please see the directions card included in your invitation for more exact details on how to find our venue.
The ceremony will begin promptly at 4:00pm, please plan to arrive with enough time to find the venue, park, and make your way to the ceremony area. Staff onsite will direct you on where to park if you choose to drive yourself.
Yes! We have hired a wonderful photographer and videographer to capture our ceremony, and we invite you to join us and be present for the moment we become husband and wife.
While we would love to offer everyone the chance to bring a guest, our venue is limited in space, and we would like to save all of our available seats for our friends and loved ones who would like to celebrate with us. Please see your invitation to determine if you have been invited to bring a guest, and if that guest is mentioned by name. If your invitation mentions a guest by name, please do not bring a different guest even if the mentioned one is unavailable to celebrate with us, as you will not be able to RSVP for a guest by a different name through our online RSVP. If you did not receive a plus one when you believe you should have, or if you need to remove or replace your named partner, please reach out to the bride or groom.
While we love our young family and friends, children under the age of 13 are not able to be accommodated at our wedding. There will be alcohol, glass, and more that could be potentially dangerous or inappropriate for our young loved ones. Instead, use our wedding as a date night for you and your partner!
Absolutely! Please let us know of any food allergies, or if you're vegetarian or vegan when you RSVP by September 1st for us to make reasonable accommodations for you with our catering team! This will be a selectable option when you RSVP online.
Yes! You can find overnight accommodations at the Courtyard Marriott on the University of Delaware campus or the Baymont by Wyndham in Newark, DE! We have organized room blocks at both hotels for our guests. Please see the "travel" tab for more information on how to book! We will have an open bar, so we highly recommend that you book a nearby hotel or Airbnb if you wish to partake in drinking during the celebration.
There is parking available at the wedding venue! Staff onsite will direct you where to park on their property. If you decide to indulge in the alcohol available at our reception, feel free to leave your car overnight and take the shuttle back to the hotel or an uber/lyft to your home, hotel, or Airbnb!
For our guests who stay at the Marriott in Newark, DE, there will be a shuttle that can take you to and from our wedding venue! For everyone else, parking is available for free at our venue and the owners permit cars to stay overnight if you decide to Uber/Lyft/Taxi home or to your hotel/Airbnb. Please drink responsibly!
Yes! We have registered here on Zola! Please see our "registry" tab.
