Southend is a walkable neighborhood close to Uptown where majority of Charlotte's young professional demographic lives! Explore during the day by walking the Rail Trail, which spans the length of the neighborhood and is lined with many coffee shops, retail, restaurants and breweries! After the sun goes down, the night life picks up at some local bars! We lived in Southend together for over 3 years and here are some of our favorites: Breakfast/Brunch/Coffee: Lincoln Street Kitchen & Cocktails; Salted Melon; Bitty & Beaus; Poppy's Bagels; Leroy Fox Dinner: Trolley Barn; Indaco; Muraya; Culinary Dropout Breweries/Nightlife: Wooden Robot; Vinyl; Monday Night Brewing; Rose; Suffolk Punch
Plaza Midwood is a slower paced neighborhood great for grabbing a bite and a casual drink! Eat lunch or dinner at Moo & Brew, the Crunkleton, Calle Sol, or Midwood Smokehouse. For afternoon or after dinner drinks, visit Workman's Friend, Thomas Street Tavern or Legion Brewing!
South Park is the neighborhood we now live in! A little more on the suburban side, it's quieter with amazing restaurants! Grab a bite at Reids Fine Foods (Pro Tip: they have live music on their patios most nights), Superica, Little Mama's, Cafe Monte or 800 Degrees Kitchen. Restoration Hardware's rooftop restaurant and bar makes for an unforgettable night if you're in the mood to splurge! South Park also has a large mall for any last minute needs!
Uptown Charlotte is where our Hotel Block and after party will be! While most live outside of the city and travel in for events or work, Uptown hosts great restaurants that are all walkable from the hotel! For lunch, we recommend exploring Monarch Market, a food hall where you can find stalls ranging from sushi to smash burgers to focaccia sandwiches! After eating, walk on over to the either the Knights stadium or the Bank of America stadium to see where our beloved Charlotte Sports teams play! For dinner, check out Dean's Steakhouse, Dos Caminos, Haymaker or La Belle Helene if you're looking for a nice dinner out!
