It was the first day of the spring semester at ULL and Morgan and Ryan both arrived 30 minutes early to Spanish class. Not because they were overachievers, but because both of them waited until the last minute to schedule their class and were desperately hoping the professor would allow them to join. With time to kill, pre-social media, they began chatting about what we can only assume now was about music. Having had the professor before, he allowed Morgan and her new friend to add the class where they would spend the rest of the semester sitting next to each other. After several months of study sessions, music swapping, and book trading, they made their relationship official.

The early years of their relationship were filled with bike rides through ULL campus, Girard Park, the Saints Streets, and Downtown. No bike ride was complete without a fully charged Bluetooth speaker, an icy tall-boy from the gas station, and somewhere to stop and hang out for a little while before moving on. Almost exactly nine years later, Ryan took Morgan on a bike ride through the park and through campus with plans to grab drinks at one of their favorite hangouts, Blue Moon Saloon. To Morgan's surprise, Ryan stopped in front of the building they met. After going inside and exploring the building and going to the classroom where it all started Ryan got down on one knee and asked to start their forever.
