How we got here...

Every great love story has a beginning. Theirs began on January 11, 2023, with confidence… and a misspelled name. Robert intentionally messaged Morgan spelling her name wrong, convinced his boldness would make him stand out. It did. Just not in the way he imagined. Morgan briefly considered ignoring him altogether. After all, how hard is Morgan? But grace prevailed and something told her to respond. At the time, Morgan was treating dating like a group project with her friends. The mission was simple: go on dates, collect funny stories, and report back. Rob was supposed to be content for the group chat. Instead, he became the plot twist. After weeks of conflicting schedules and pre-booked trips, they finally went on their first date on February 4, 2023. Rob swears he knew she was the one when he saw her coming up the escalator. According to him, that was also the day she became his girlfriend. Morgan does not recall voting on this decision. Their connection deepened naturally and quickly. The friendship formed first. The trust followed. The love was not far behind. On May 1, as Morgan was being wheeled back for a back procedure, Rob chose that exact moment to say “I love you” for the first time. Nothing says romance like a hospital gown and hair net. But when you know, you know. Timing may not have been ideal, but sincerity outweighed circumstance. One month later, he made it official and asked her to be his girlfriend. What he didn’t know was that Morgan had already taken this to God. She had prayed for confirmation and promised herself she would not enter another relationship unless it was leading to marriage. Spoiler alert: she got her answer. From that point on, they chose each other daily. Their love grew and matured through life’s challenges. They leaned into faith. They talked about forever early and often. By the six-month mark, Rob began speaking clearly and confidently about marriage, about forever, about building a life together. So when he got down on one knee on February 7, 2025, Morgan was not surprised. Because she believes the surprise should be how you’re asked, not whether he’s asking. And now, here they are. Two people who started with a typo and ended with a testimony. Cheers to faith, favor, and forever. #TotheTaylors
