It all began on a boat. Becca first saw Morgan on the Catalina Express and the way Morgan carried herself reminded Becca of Audrey Hepburn. Morgan was living in Avalon at the time and Becca in Two Harbors. It was not until Morgan moved to Two Harbors that they first spoke. Becca offered her a beer, Morgan said she didn't drink beer and Becca walked away. Becca didn't know if they could be friends if she didn't drink beer. They connected again on a boat and had their first lengthy conversation about environmental politics. Between seasons Becca moved to Monterey and Morgan visited her. It was during a car ride along the coast that they first talked about what they wanted out of life and realized they had the same goals, aspirations, and interests. From that point on they were very close friends. Eventually the friendship evolved into something more and right before moving off the Island they realized they loved each other and wanted to be each others' partners for life. Their relationship grew and they built a life for themselves in the Pacific Northwest among the trees and rhododendrons.
