How will we get from the hotels to the ceremony to the reception?

Answer

We have two trolleys (one small and one large) that will take guests from the three hotels (Courtyard, Avalon, & Hollander) to the church. Following the ceremony and extended family portraits, the trolleys will take guests to the reception venue, the shuffle board club. There will be no transportation back to the hotels as the shuffleboard club is within site of the Avalon and Hollander. Guests with personal or rental vehicles will be able to park at both the church (back side of the chapel) and at the shuffleboard courts.

What is the dress code?

Answer

Island semi-formal. Ceremony will be in a catholic church. Wear shoes you can play shuffleboard in.

Will the reception will take place indoors or outdoors?

Answer

The main part of the reception will be outdoors, but an indoor, airconditioned area will be available for guests. The weather is St. Petersburg in late April is typically around 70 degrees in the evening with little chance of rain. We will move inside in the event of inclement weather.

What type of food and drink will be served during the cocktail hour and reception?

Answer

We'll be serving light hors d'oeuvres during cocktail hour, followed by a dinner buffet and cake. There will be an open bar all evening.

Is there anything happening on Sunday?

Answer

We will be having brunch at the Hollander’s restaurant, the Tap Room, on Sunday morning around 10am. After we will be hanging out at the pool cabanas for most of the early afternoon. Please join us if you would like. Call the The Tap Room for reservations at 727-873-7900.
