Nick and Morgan had first met during their sophomore year of college at Mississippi State during bulldog bash weekend. They became friends for the time, but their story did not truly begin until two years later thanks to the help of their friends. Morgan is a Mississippi State Bulldog and Nick an Ole Miss Rebel, but his best friends from high school went to Mississippi State (who had been Morgan's best friends since freshmen year) whom he loved to visit on the weekends. Their senior year on one September night, Morgan asked Seth and Taylor if Nick would attend her next date party. To Morgan's surprise, Seth and Taylor were filled with excitement and literally ran to find him at a friend's house to tell him the news. (Nick and Morgan of course did not know they had crushes on each other for two years). Unfortunately, Nick could not attend the date party; but a month later, Nick came back to MSU to hopefully see Morgan again. They attended a birthday party at a friend's house, but nerves got the best of them and were separated. Nick left and went to Rick's with Taylor and Seth but was confused why Morgan was not there. Nick found his courage and realized it was now or never to call her. Morgan answered his phone call just in time to see him running down the street towards the Klassroom. After running in the cold over a mile to see her, Nick finally got the chance to ask her on a date, and the rest was history!

Since it was Morgan's birthday, Nick came to Memphis to visit for the weekend. Saturday morning, Nick, Morgan, Kathryn, and Tillman ate brunch and went to a brewery. The evening plans were to go to Morgan's parent's house to have dinner. On the way home, Morgan noticed Nick was driving awfully slow (Nick has a lead foot); however, he claimed that he wanted to be careful driving in the rain. What she didn't know was that he needed to be the last one to arrive at the house. Once they pulled onto Morgan's parent's driveway, Nick blindfolded Morgan, and she thought it was a surprise birthday party!!! He led her to the front door where there was a beautiful arch with magnolias and white lights and candles that spelled out "Will You Marry Me?". After Nick popped the question, they walked in to find Nick's parents, Noah, Madison, Morgan's parents, Tillman and Kathryn all together to celebrate! It was such a special night, and one we will never forget.
