Getting There: If you are coming to Montauk from New York City, the easiest and most affordable options are the LIRR or the Hampton Jitney. Both the train and Jitney have stops in Montauk and other local stops if you are staying elsewhere. If you are coming from Connecticut, the Bridgeport/Port Jefferson ferry breaks up the drive by avoiding tristate traffic. There is also a New London/Montauk ferry that only leaves New London on Fridays at 8pm and leaves Montauk on Sundays at 8pm. Hotels: Please see the information below regarding hotels in Montauk. The options listed are located on Old Montauk Highway on or across from the ocean—the same road as Gurney's. There are several other hotels in the town of Montauk both on and off the ocean. These are typically more expensive. You can also find hotels on the Sound by Gosman's Dock. *Please note that most hotels have a 3 night minimum as it is their busy summer season.*
