Watch the weather! October in Michigan will (hopefully ;)) be crisp and beautiful. Bring layers. Glen Arbor is a pretty casual town.
Wear what makes you happy, but if you're looking for more specific guidance, think cocktail. Both evenings are a mix of indoors and out, so ladies - you might want to leave the stilettos at home.

Glen Arbor is on the Northwest side of the state. You have two options for airports: 1. Fly into Grand Rapids and make the 2:45 drive to Glen Arbor OR 2. Fly into Traverse City and make the :45 drive to Glen Arbor Grand Rapids is a larger airport, with more flexibility. Traverse is closer. Both are EASY regional airports, a lot like RIC.
Ubers and cabs are virtually non-existent in Glen Arbor. You're going back in time a bit! We'd suggest renting a car, or coordinating with a guest. Both airports in Grand Rapids + Traverse City have all the normal rental car options available, and you can also try Turo, the "AirBnB" of car rentals. Transportation will be available to/from the welcome dinner + wedding - we don't want anyone having to worry about driving :)
