High school sweethearts

Mark and Morgan saw each other at a party at the Kuppenbender house for Morgan's soccer team. Mark was by the pool and Morgan was sitting at a table with some of her teammates. She noticed him a couple yards away and instantly saw hearts and asked around the party to see who that was! Little did she know that it was one of her teammates, and Maid of Honor, Petie's older brother! They started texting and quickly became friends, talking everyday and getting to know each other more and more over time. Morgan's feelings grew and she was never afraid to tell Mark how she felt, but lets just say it took Mark a bit longer to express his feelings! March 27, 2009 Mark took Morgan on a scavenger hunt around town that ended at her parents where he would ask her to be his girlfriend. They have been through quite a lot - long distance, a small break up, ups, downs, deaths in the family, loss of friendships, and everything in between but if we have learned anything from this couple, its that Love truly does endure!

He asked, she said "Finally!"

Morgan was coming back into Sacramento for the weekend to get her hair done. Mark knew it would be the perfect weekend to finally propose with their families! He had Morgan's older sister Shannon, text her about going wine tasting after her hair appointment, and of course she said yes (she never turns down a wine tasting trip). Morgan loves to get pictures wherever they go so it was really easy for Mark to get her down to the vines for a photoshoot. While Morgan took some photos of Shannon and her friend Emily, Mark was behind her getting the ring ready. Shannon started to take pictures when Mark turned Morgan around for a prom pose. When he turned her back around, he was down on one knee asking her to spend forever with him! Of course, she said "finally!" Shannon said she was hungry and so they decided to go somewhere she was craving an appetizer from. When they walked into the restaurant, Mark had invited both their immediate families there to help them celebrate their engagement. It was such a perfect night that Morgan and Mark will remember forever!
