Josh and Morgan had a very serendipitous meeting. Neither was aware of the other's presence wandering around G.G. Brown (Mechanical Engineering building) at the University of Michigan, nor were they aware of the growing number of mutual friends. It wasn't until Rebekah, Josh's sister, mentioned dating Morgan after reading a University of Michigan Softball article about her that Josh kept his eyes peeled. Once the stars aligned and they actually met, sparks flew. Josh distracted Morgan from studying for her Fluid's midterm; Morgan destroyed Josh in nearly every game they played; and together, they infiltrated a lecture hall to watch a movie on the projector. However, it wasn't all fun and games. Josh was destined to graduate and move to Nashville, but Morgan's heart was already captured. On April Fool's Day in 2018, Josh confessed that he loved Morgan (Pro Tip: Don't tell a woman you love her for the first time on April Fool's), and they officially started dating. The next four years were filled with puzzles, hiking adventures, and so much ice cream! Now they are together in Maryland eagerly awaiting their wedding day!
On a cold and sunny December day, Josh woke up early to arrange the certain clues to the most important scavenger hunt ever. Unaware, Morgan had decided baking cookies after church would be the perfect Sunday activity. Josh determined cookie ingredients were perfect for the hunt. Each clue hidden carefully: butter under the couch, flour in the office. Each clue leading to the next note. Each note tied to a crucial cookie ingredient. As Josh and Morgan walked out of church, Morgan insisted it was time for food, which was not part of the initial plan. No matter though, lunch was ordered and picked up and brought home before the butter could soften! Josh gave her the first clue, informing Morgan there would have to be a hunt if cookies were to be made. Knowing that this was the only event standing between them and their lunch, Morgan quickly went from couch to cupboard to office and so on, collecting the ingredients needed. Along the way, she amassed notes revealing the locations of the items, but also noting delightful traits about herself and who she is. Eventually, it was time to find the sprinkles. With a clue to look behind an anteater painting, a fond memory the two share, she moved over to the fireplace and peeked behind the painting. Two shiny sprinkle bottles sat on each side of a new diamond engagement ring. Realizing the ruse, Morgan stepped back and gasped, to see Josh on one knee next to her. After a quick yes, which was nearly blurted out upon moving the anteater, the two embraced and began to picture what a wedding and marriage might look like as life long teammates.
In lieu of a guest book, we would love to create a recipe book filled to the brim with exquisite suggestions from our closest friends and family. Who wouldn't want to try Uncle Bob's cheesecake or Grandma Crane's sausage balls. We can't imagine what other amazing cocktails, appetizers, main dishes, side dishes, or desserts you've been cooking up. Since not everyone has their favorite recipes memorized, recipes can be sent any time before August 20th to foundourmojo@gmail.com. Don't forget your name so we know who to thank! FEEL FREE TO SEND MORE THAN ONE!
