The first time Jesse saw Morgan was in the summer of 2013, shortly after he and his family moved to Madison, New Jersey. Jesse remembers watching Morgan run across the football field, late to band practice, in a black shirt and hot pink sweatpants. He determined immediately that she was the most beautiful girl on that field and decided that he needed to get to know her. Although they crossed paths frequently over the next few years, the stars didn't align until one fateful day in the summer of 2015 when Morgan messaged Jesse asking him which biology class he was registered for, hoping she had at least one friend in her class. Jesse knew for some reason that if he ever had a chance with Morgan, it was right then, and the wooing began. December 29, 2015 was a bittersweet day for Morgan. This was the day she learned that her bisabuella (great grandmother) had passed, but it was also the day of Jesse and Morgan's first "date". To take her mind off of the news for a while, Morgan asked if she could invite her friend, Jesse, over to play cards at grandma's house, and that was where it all began. Morgan and Jesse continued dating after Morgan graduated high school and went off to college in Baltimore. The following year, Jesse, too, graduated and served his mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints in Sweden. For the full two years that Jesse was on his mission, Morgan wrote him an email every single day that he would get to read every morning, but he could only respond to her once a week. Jesse came home from Sweden in July of 2019 and began school at MIT in Cambridge, Massachusetts in the fall. When the COVID-19 pandemic forced him to take classes online in 2020-2021, he moved just a block away from Morgan in Baltimore, and they lived in the same city for the first time since 2016. Morgan graduated from Hopkins and Peabody in the summer of 2021 and then moved to Boston where she began her PhD at Harvard Medical School, just across the river from Jesse. On March 25, 2022, Jesse proposed on the beach at Cape Cod, and on June 30th, 2023, Jesse and Morgan look forward to celebrating their marriage with each of you, 10 years after they met and 7.5 years after their first date.
