For all of our out of state guests, you have to try In-N-Out! Fun fact - Trey and Morgan's first date was at In-N-Out!

Napa Valley

CA

Napa is located about an hour away from Sacramento. Known for its hundreds of hillside vineyards and beautiful views, this could be a fun day trip!

San Francisco

CA

Located about 1.5-2 hours away from Sacramento, San Francisco is always a fun trip. With so many things to do in the city, kids and adults will have fun!

North Lake Tahoe

CA

Located 2 hours from Sacramento, this is always such a fun trip for people who are visiting. North Lake Tahoe provides a quieter, more serene, nature-oriented experience with charming towns, outdoor adventures, and a laid-back vibe. Enjoy time at the beach or hiking while enjoying the beautiful views that Tahoe has to offer.

South Lake Tahoe

CA

Located 2 hours from Sacramento, South Lake Tahoe is on the other side of the lake from North Lake Tahoe. These two places give different vibes and offer different experiences. South Lake Tahoe offers a bustling, nightlife-focused scene with casinos, shows, and more urban amenities. You may still visit the lake and enjoy hikes, but there is more of a city vibe to this side of the lake.

Disneyland Park

Anaheim, CA

Although this one is farther, we wanted to throw it on here just in case! Disneyland is just under a 7 hour drive from Sacramento. We might be biased, but Morgan's family loves Disneyland and all there is to do. We visit at least once a year, so if you need help with hotel recommendations or plans, please don't hesitate to reach out!

Yosemite National Park

CA

Almost 3 hours outside of Sacramento, Yosemite National Park is in California’s Sierra Nevada mountains. It’s famed for its giant, ancient sequoia trees, and for Tunnel View, the iconic vista of towering Bridalveil Fall and the granite cliffs of El Capitan and Half Dome. In Yosemite Village are shops, restaurants, and lodging.

Apple Hill

Placerville, CA

Apple Hill, California is a scenic rural area in the Sierra Nevada foothills near Placerville, about an hour east of Sacramento. It’s best known for its apple orchards, farms, and fall traditions, especially during harvest season, when visitors come for fresh apple pies, cider, donuts, pumpkin patches, and u-pick apples. The area has a cozy, small-town, country feel with winding roads, pine trees, vineyards, and family-run farms.

Amador County

CA

About an hour away from Sacramento, Amador County wineries offer a relaxed, down-to-earth wine country experience set in the rolling Sierra Foothills of Northern California. Tasting rooms are spread along scenic back roads and historic Gold Rush-era towns, giving visits a laid-back, personal feel. Compared to Napa or Sonoma, Amador feels quieter and more rustic, with beautiful views, friendly hospitality, and a strong sense of local character.
