How We Met

November 2017

In November of 2017, Morgan was working at Lucy’s Health Foods and met Jacques’ Nannie. Nannie mentioned Jacques’ name and Morgan instantly felt something. After Nannie left, Morgan called her mom saying, “umm. So, I just met my future husband’s grandma. He perfect and I’m in love and I don’t even know what he looks like.” Nannie on the other hand called Jacques’ mom telling her to come to Lucy’s. Then called the store telling Morgan that Heidi was going to come meet her. Morgan was shocked and Danielle called asking if her “future mother in law” came in yet. When Heidi and Morgan met they bonded over stories from Jacques’ childhood (they both had tears in their eyes by the end). Morgan told Heidi that she was going to marry her son. Heidi said she believed in things like that and passed Jacques’ number along to Morgan and Morgan’s along to Jacques. Jacques and Morgan started messaging the next day, and tried to figure out when they could meet. Morgan being a stressed out college student two weeks before finals said she couldn’t meet yet. Jacques was let down, but said okay. A few days later Morgan proposed they meet up for dinner after her review session on Sunday. They happily agreed on Lit Pizza for their first date. Nothing goes off without a hitch. Morgan got to Lit 30 minutes early. Jacques barely bumped someone’s car while leaving his neighborhood and ended up an hour and a half late. Fun fact, Morgan’s dad was 45 minutes late to meet her mom for their first date, so they found it super sentimental. Once Jacques got to Lit, he and Morgan talked for three hours straight. They talked about everything from family to hobbies, they showed off scars and told stories, and made plans to hangout again the next weekend. They both left the date saying to themselves that they were going to marry each other.
