Avoid the crowds on the popular trails and go for a hike on Crockett’s Run state-park level hiking trail. Observe a 30-foot-tall seasonal waterfall that twists and falls over eroded stone; a smaller waterfall flows into a nearby stream. Stop and take in the views of our beautiful gorge, mossy logs and rocks, and lush native plants.

The famous Buckeye Trail runs adjacent to Crockett’s Run. This 1,400-plus mile hiking trail winds around the state of Ohio. As the longest circular trail in the nation, this path passes through some of Hocking Hills most scenic regions. It features views of Wayne National State Forest, Lake Logan State Park, Conkle’s Hollow, Old Man’s Cave, Cedar Falls, Hocking State Forest, Ash Cave, and the Tar Hollow State Forest.
