Our Story

It was 2020, the year none of us want to look back on, but for Morgan and Evan, it holds the beginning of their love story. It all starts with a dating app and the ability to fix just about anything. After the world was shut down for 6 months due to Covid, Morgan decided to join a dating app called Hinge in October of 2020. On this app, it requires more work than the simple left or right swipe to make a connection. With Hinge, you have to actually engage with the other person to show your sign of interest. At this point in time, Evan had been on the app for a couple of months before stumbling upon Morgan's profile. After Morgan's profile was made, only a few days later did she receive a notification from the app saying someone had liked one of her photos. As one does, Morgan opened the app and found a tall, blonde haired man named Evan had liked her photo. Upon reviewing his profile, she found out he was a dairy farmer from Charlevoix and believed he had the ability to fix anything if given the right tools. This peaked Morgan's interest as she tends to break just about everything and with a quick reply, the couple hit it off and exchanged phone numbers a few days later. As a couple months went by, Morgan and Evan decided it was time to officially meet one another in person. On December 15, 2020, Morgan and Evan finally met after deciding to meet at Morgan's home since the world was still shut down. Secretly, the both of them shared their locations and made a plan to contact their friends periodically through out the date to ensure their safety, but neither of them knew the other had done this until later in the relationship. For the next several months, Morgan and Evan would take turns visiting each others homes until the world opened back up. One of their first real dates was ice skating at the local ice rink in Charlevoix followed by dinner and a movie. As the years went by, Morgan and Evan continued making trips to each others houses and engaging in each others everyday lifestyle. It was in February of 2024, Morgan had asked Evan if he wanted to meet half way somewhere to do a lunch on Valentine's Day since the both of them weren't able to make a date night out of it. The couple settled for Traverse City where Morgan picked out a Mexican restaurant called Spanglish. Once meeting there, they shared a meal then went to The Village at the Grand Traverse Commons to do a little shopping and walking the local trails. It was after already walking the trails and going back inside the Commons that Evan insisted they walk the trails once more. Morgan found it strange, but didn't object and within five minutes of walking the trails again, Evan got down on one knee and asked Morgan to marry him. Morgan replied with the easiest yes and the rest is history!
