Union Station Kansas City
A beautiful historic landmark and one of Kansas City’s most iconic buildings. Inside you will find exhibits, restaurants, a planetarium, and Science City, an interactive museum with hundreds of hands on exhibits. It is also home to seasonal exhibits and events throughout the year. Since this is also where we will be celebrating our wedding, we highly recommend stopping by to explore before the big day.
National WWI Museum and Memorial
Located just across from Union Station, this museum offers powerful exhibits and incredible views of the Kansas City skyline from the top of the Liberty Memorial tower.
The Nelson-Atkins Museum of Art
One of Kansas City’s most beloved museums featuring beautiful galleries and expansive outdoor sculpture gardens. The lawn is a great place to relax, enjoy a picnic, or walk around and explore the art. There is even a small putting green nearby, which makes it a fun and easy spot to spend an afternoon.
Ponak's Mexican Kitchen & Bar
One of Eli and I’s very favorite Kansas City spots and home to our favorite margaritas. It is a lively local staple and there is a good chance you might find us there on a weekend!

One of the most famous barbecue restaurants in Kansas City and a true local institution. A must-visit for classic KC barbecue.
Jack Stack Barbecue - Plaza
A Kansas City classic and one of our favorite spots for barbecue. The burnt ends and cheesy corn are must-tries!
Messenger Coffee Co. + Ibis Bakery
A great place to grab coffee, breakfast, or pastries. The rooftop patio has beautiful views of the city.
