Their engagement day could be described in no other words except, A Series of Fortunate Events. After a travel day from Nashville, TN to Denver, and a 5 hour drive, they arrived in the Wildflower Capital of Colorado, Crested Butte. The weather was overcast with off and on rain, and Morgan was slightly ill that day. Dustin suggested a short hike to stretch their legs before dinner. Emerald Lake Trail - a high alpine lake just a short drive from town with, you guessed it, a beautiful emerald colored lake surrounded by pine trees and wildflowers. The weather shifted gears during their drive over, and what greeted them at the parking area was a vibrant rainbow you could almost see end-to-end (video above). Dustin took that as a good sign this would be the spot to propose. That and the fear of losing the ring if he didn't do it sooner rather than later. Once they reached the lake, they realized everyone had left, and they had the entire lake to themselves. Could there be a more opportune moment? Actually yes, there could be. Morgan decided she needed to take pictures of them and set up her tripod. NOW could there be a more opportune moment? Dustin came prepared with a bottle of champagne, two glasses, and of course the ring. With Rocky Mountain Columbines in full bloom all around them and this devilishly handsome man on one knee, Morgan couldn't say anything but yes!
