Our love story began over 6 years ago on the day we met. From our very first conversation we knew we had found something special and a sense of comfort in each other that we had never found before. Since that moment, we have grown our relationship through the challenges of life: college athletics, long distance, moving halfway down the east coast and fulfilling our dreams to move to South Carolina, law school, new jobs, becoming dog parents to Marshall and Hazel, COVID and buying our first home. As our lives have become more complicated, the love we share and continue to cultivate seems to be our proudest accomplishment yet. Thank you to everyone who we have met during our journey thus far, and we look forward to celebrating our love with each and every one of you on 8/12/22.. just shy of 7 years from the day that changed our lives. Cheers!
Every single day since this moment, I wake up and realize how lucky I am to have found a man so caring and thoughtful. The location where Charlie proposed is a memorial bench dedicated to my late grandmother, Susan B. Pfanner, at Mccooks Point Park in East Lyme, CT overlooking the Long Island Sound. As the Lloyd/Beckwith family runs deep in the town of East Lyme, it felt like a dream for the start of our next step together to begin in a place so close to my heart. Even though she is not physically present, her spirit has and always will be with us. Our engagement is a story I will never get tired of telling, and I am so proud to call this man my future husband!
