Like a lot of our love story, this one started on the volleyball court. All my friends told me about this guy they couldn't believe I had not met yet. One night, we finally met during an open gym at Clayton Middle School. I remember thinking he was a great player and only slightly full of himself. We started hanging out as a group and spending lots of time together. I started to realize that I was into him. Then one night someone mentioned we would make a great couple. He replied, "No way! She is like my sister." So, I put that thought out of my mind. The first time we were together, just the two of us, was on a drive up to Tahoe. We talked the entire time. I told stories like my pumpkin pie mishap and he talked about how he was a middle child. We became even better friends. I realized that I liked him more than just as a volleyball teammate. We made it official with a first kiss at Donner Lake. Don't let him tell you that he made the first move. Now we are dog parents and happily continuing our love story, on and off the court.
Your Typical Love Story - Boy meets girl. They fall in love. Date. Marry. Happily Ever After. Our Love Story: As I was attending school, I had met many people who would lead me to Morgan. First, I play volleyball, in case you all did not know that. This is how we met. Well, kinda. We had mutual friends that all played volleyball. One night, I was hanging out at her friends house "carving" pumpkins, I had never done that before in my life. They kept mentioning this Morgan girl and I asked where and who she was. They were in awe I hadn't met her yet and mentioned that she was most likely out hanging out with her cousin or other friends. Immediately, I was not interested because I thought she was a big partier. I'm not big into loud music and drinking alcohol, as most of you know. I continued my life and started to play volleyball at Clayton Middle School. This is the exact spot where I first met Morgan. After a few weeks of playing and getting dinner with our friends someone suggested that we would make a cute couple. Panicked I had said, "NO WAY...She's more like a sister to me". This just further delayed what was inevitable. Eventually I man'd up and kissed her at Donner Lake. After four years of dating, playing volleyball together, acquiring a dog, and eventually moving in together, I thought it was time to finally POP the question. With help, we went to Hawaii and there on a sunset beach...I got down on one knee and asked the "simple" question. She had replied with a "YES!" But later we found out, she knew it was coming...
