FAQs

Thank you so much for taking the time to visit our wedding website and be part of this special season with us. It truly means the world to have your love and support as we prepare for our big day. We are so excited to celebrate together and can’t wait to share such a meaningful and joyful occasion with you! If you have any questions that may not be answered here, feel free to reach out directly for clarification!
Question

What time does the ceremony start?

Answer

Our ceremony will begin at 4:30 PM sharp. We recommend arriving between 4:00 PM and 4:15 PM to ensure you have plenty of time to be comfortably seated before the celebration starts.

Question

What is the dress code for your wedding?

Answer

Our wedding attire is semi-formal with a garden party feel. Guests are encouraged to dress in polished yet comfortable styles—think flowy dresses, or dressy jumpsuits for women, and suits, blazers, or dress shirts with slacks for men. Because our celebration is outdoors in the summer, we recommend light, breathable fabrics. Please feel free to embrace colors, florals, and patterns that reflect the season and setting. Wedges, block heels, or dressy flats are great options for the grassy terrain!

Question

I have a food allergy/dietary restriction, can I make a special request?

Answer

We're happy to accommodate any food allergies or dietary restrictions. Please inform us promptly, and we'll work closely with our caterer to ensure your comfort and safety. You'll also have the opportunity to specify your dietary needs in your RSVP selections on our website!

Question

Will there be transportation/shuttles provided?

Answer

Since our guests will be staying at various locations throughout the area, we've decided not to arrange a shuttle service. However, you'll have several convenient transportation options available. Uber and Lyft operate readily in Frederick, and there's also a local service called "SOS Safe Ride" that offers a unique solution: a driver will pick up your vehicle, drive you to your destination, and ensure you get home safely. We encourage you to take advantage of these services for a worry-free evening. If you do drive to the venue, please note that vehicles may remain on the property until 10AM Saturday morning; any vehicles left after that time may be subject to towing.

Question

Are kids welcome?

Answer

While we adore children, our wedding celebration will be an adults-only event. Consider this your opportunity for a special evening out—a chance to relax, enjoy each other's company, and dance the night away without little ones in tow. We appreciate your understanding!

Question

Can I bring a date?

Answer

Your invitation and RSVP will include whether or not we are able to accommodate a guest of yours. We appreciate your understanding!

Question

Do you have a hotel block for guests?

Answer

We have not reserved a hotel block, but we've curated a selection of lodging options to help make your travel planning easier. You'll find our recommended accommodations in the "Travel" section of our wedding website, where you can choose the hotel that best suits your preferences and budget.

Question

Is there parking on-site?

Answer

Yes, convenient on-site parking is available for all guests at Walkers Overlook. You can easily drive and park directly at our venue for your comfort and convenience.

Question

Can I take pictures during the ceremony?

Answer

We kindly ask that our guests put away their cameras and phones during the ceremony. Our professional photographers will beautifully capture every special moment, allowing us to be fully present and enjoy this meaningful time with our loved ones.
