Our Story

Our story didn’t begin with fireworks or some perfect movie moment – it began quietly, in July of 2023, at a bar in Schaumburg. We were just two people crossing paths at the right place but the wrong time, sharing a spark that neither of us fully knew how to name yet. Braden was spending long days coaching and juggling school in Iowa, and Morgan was overwhelmed with the stress of nursing school. So she pulled back and ghosted him. But even in that silence, something was there. This lingering thought of “What if?” that neither of us could fully let go. Then December rolled around. Life shifted, timing softened, and Braden came home for Christmas break. We found ourselves sitting across from each other at Tsukasa – our favorite restaurant, the place that would become the start of everything. The moment our eyes met again, it felt like the universe gently nudged us back toward one another. The conversation flowed like we had known each other for years. It was effortless, warm, and filled with that subtle excitement that makes your heart race and somehow calm at the same time. We laughed, we shared stories, and somewhere between the clinking plates and the familiar smells of our favorite food, it became clear that something truly special was unfolding. From that night on, we became a part of each other’s everyday life in a way that felt natural – almost necessary. We couldn’t go a single day without saying “I miss you” or reminding the other just how much they meant. Those messages weren’t just words but lifelines. They were little reminders that even when we weren’t together, we were thinking of each other constantly. There was a warmth in every conversation, a steadiness in every reassurance, and a growing certainty that we had found the kind of connection people spend a lifetime hoping for. Braden felt it so strongly that staying in Iowa became impossible. He knew that love like this wasn’t something you chose from a distance, but it was something you stepped into fully. So he made the decision to move home, and to try to build a life where Morgan wasn’t just a part of his days, but at the center of them. That choice wasn’t dramatic or complicated; it was simple. Where she was, that’s where he wanted to be. And then came November 29, 2025. This is a day that holds a meaning far beyond the calendar. Braden asked Morgan to be his wife but more importantly, he made a promise. A promise to love her every single day until we can’t love anymore. A promise that wasn’t just spoken, but felt in the way he held her, looked at her, and chose her in every small moment after. Now, as we prepare to stand together in front of the people we love most, we’re overwhelmed by gratitude. Gratitude for the missed timing, the reconnection, the risks, the texts, the nights apart that made the moments together even sweeter, the “I miss you” messages we could never hold back, and the love that grew from a spark into something steady, deep, and lifelong. Our story didn’t start perfectly, but it became perfect in all the ways that truly matter. And now we can’t wait to step into forever, promising once again to love each other every day until we can’t love anymore.
