We're so excited to celebrate with you!

We first met at our Freshman Year Orientation group when we noticed we had the same backpack. This first started our relationships as friends. As life went along, we found ourselves interested in other people and did not think much of it. After many catastrophic meltdowns and perfectly normal relational complications, we ended up growing closer by comforting each other through the hard times. We were like brother and sister. Then I (Aslan) finally had a brilliant idea: “What if I asked Morgan out on a date?” So there I was in the back of Morgan’s trunk looking up at the stars with her. I then said to her “Hey, if I was hypothetically walking down a road and hypothetically tripped and the words ‘will you go out on a date with me?’ came out, what would you say?” She laughed, then realized I was being serious. Apparently this question came out of left freaking field. I WAS FLIRTING WITH HER FOR A WHILE! But being her amazing self she then stated, “The answer is not no…” and that was it. I was left in turmoil. She said she would give me an answer tomorrow. As you can see, the answer was yes, though her biggest concern about us dating when I brought it up that night was, “We think of each other like brother and sister. So would we be committing incest?” I knew right there I wanted to marry her. Ever since it has been many ups and downs to this point. Love is the best feeling in the world, which makes it the worst feeling sometimes. But, if one truly loves, then it never fails through the worst times. We cannot wait to share our lives together forever on this Earth. May God be the glory for His complex planning and intentional pathways He has created for us. What was two different people united with the same backpack, will now be two different people united into one through marriage.
