Question

What time should I plan to arrive for the ceremony?

Answer

Our current plan is to start right at 10am, so please aim to arrive at 9:45am to find parking and get seated. There is built-in seating at the amphitheater where you can sit anywhere. Our coordinator will help organize seating for photography purposes. Please note that it takes about 15 minutes to arrive at the Amphitheater without traffic from downtown Boulder, which can vary depending on how many hikers are going up the mountain. Thus, we would highly recommend starting to drive from downtown Boulder around 9:30am.

Is the ceremony/reception indoors or outdoors?

Answer

The ceremony will be held outdoors while the reception will be held indoors.

What if it rains or storms?

Answer

If the weather turns south, we will hold the ceremony instead at Flagstaff House Restaurant. Our coordinator Jillian will contact you if there is a change in our ceremony destination.

Where can I park for the ceremony and reception?

Answer

There are limited spots directly in front of the amphitheater, but the overflow parking lot is just a short distance away. There is a $5 cash-only permit required for parking, which we will hand out as your car is arriving. We also recommend either carpooling from downtown Boulder or Uber'ing to the ceremony site. For the reception site (Flagstaff House), there is ample parking for guests. From downtown Boulder, it is about an 18 minute drive up a windy mountain road to Sunrise Amphitheater, a 10 minute drive down the road to Flagstaff House Restaurant, and ~8 minute drive back to downtown Boulder.

Can I get there if I don't have a car?

Answer

We will try to arrange carpooling, but Uber is also an inexpensive option as the location is very close to downtown Boulder (if that is where you are staying).

Can I bring a plus-one?

Answer

Our wedding is RSVP only, so please bring only those listed in your invitation.

Will there be vegetarian/gluten-free food available?

Answer

For our reception site, vegetarian entrees are available and can be taken once guests are seated for lunch the day of the wedding. If you have any allergy or dietary needs, please let us know a month prior if possible so we can make arrangements with the chef.

Will food and drinks be served at the reception?

Answer

At our short ceremony, we will have some soft drinks and treats available for you. Once at the reception site, please enjoy coffee and/or cocktails before enjoying three-course luncheon including the wedding cake. Selected beer and wine will be provided at lunch. Our afterparty is at a well known cocktail bar in downtown Boulder with pizza and cocktails/beer/wine will be served.

What will weather be like this time of year?

Answer

The typical high appears to be around 75F and the low appears to be 50F. Colorado is known for quick afternoon thunderstorms and highly variable weather.
