COVID Update

Hello everybody! Our wedding is currently set at a capacity of 63 people, so we are asking that as soon as you get your invitation that you respond (yes or no) on our website RSVP. We are asking this because we are sending out invitations on a rolling basis, prioritizing family and wedding party first. The sooner we know if you can or cannot come, the more people we can send our invitations out to. Thank you for understanding!

How He Asked

From Amber's Point of View

On July 21, 2020 we woke up at 3:30 am to start heading to a trail head. Morgan had asked me a few days before if I wanted to hike a fourteener that weekend, and I agreed then decided on Mt. Quandary! We finally got to the trailhead and started hiking around 5:30, and summited around 9:30. At the top, it was miserably cold and the wind was howling. We are trying to hide behind rocks from the wind when Morgan suggests just taking our summit picture and heading back down. I agree, because I am quickly going numb. We start to take pictures, trying to smile through the cold and holding our cardboard sign. Then, Morgan looks at me and says, "I have an important question for you." I start to freak out as Morgan starts digging in his pocket. He gets down on one knee, as I'm starting to full-on ugly cry, and asks me to marry him. I rip my glove off, and he puts the ring on my finger. My eyes are so blurry with tears, though, that I can't see the ring. I quickly gave up on seeing through the tears, though, as my fingers are going numb and I need my gloves back on. After some congratulations from other hikers, we start to head back down. When the feeling finally comes back to my hands, I take my gloves off and can finally see my beautiful ring!

How He Asked

From Morgan's Point of View

So, to tell this story properly, I have to go a couple months back from when I popped the question. I knew I wanted to marry Amber for a long time, I'm talking months! But I had no idea what kind of ring she would like and I wanted to make sure I got the perfect ring for the perfect girl. Thus the scheming commenced and the first step was to get inside help from Amber's aunt Lisa. But I didn't have Lisa's number and whenever I was at Lisa's house Amber was there so we couldn't exactly plan anything. Eventually I stole Lisa's number out of Amber's phone and Amber didn't suspect a thing. I text Lisa that I needed help picking the right ring and she was happy to help! We set up a time to meet at the store and she helped me a ton! From that point on, especially being in quarantine, I had to make a lot of "car part" runs in order to get out of the house without raising any suspicion. And that all happened in April. Once I had that ring, that was one of the most stressful times of my life. I had it for a week before I proposed. I couldn't hold onto it for any longer. I wanted to do it at the top of a mountain and we've been climbing mountains since we moved to Colorado, so the recommendation went without suspicion. So I had to hide the ring for a week! Where the heck do you hide something when you live with someone? I put it in my motorcycle jacket pocket, she'd never check there. Guess who brought me my motorcycle jacket 3 days into the week of holding. Thats right Amber! And I totally thought she felt the giant box in the jacket. But she didn't. On the morning of our hike, I "forgot" something inside our place and went and grabbed the ring without her seeing. Quandary was a beautiful hike on the way up with good memories. When we summited it was freezing and I said "Let's just take a picture and climb back down". While a stranger was taking pictures of us at the top, I popped the question and she said "I cant see it" and nodded her head yes on the morning of June 21st.
