It all began in 2015, when Morgan moved to Alabama and met Alex in the 7th grade. They went to the same church, same school, and were part of the same youth group—but back then, they were little more than passing acquaintances. It wasn’t until Junior year of high school that they really became friends. Fast forward to 2021: high school graduation came and went, and while most of their classmates moved away for college, Alex and Morgan both stayed local. Suddenly, they found themselves hanging out more—just two friends navigating college life close to home. At least... that’s how Morgan saw it. Alex, however, had been quietly harboring a crush. Friends and family began to notice something shifting between them—but Morgan remained hilariously oblivious. When she finally caught on, it threw her for a loop. She had never thought of Alex as more than a friend, but slowly, something changed. By February 2022, Alex had worked up the courage to ask Morgan out—just before Valentine’s Day (though he somehow forgot to ask her to be his Valentine). They made it official on March 1st, 2022, and it became clear very quickly: God had been weaving their story together all along. On April 26th, 2025, Alex proposed to Morgan at Hargis Christian Camp, right at the foot of the cross—a place that holds deep meaning for both of them. After months (and months!) of Morgan not-so-subtly asking when it was finally going to happen, Alex planned the proposal of her dreams. The day was filled with thoughtful surprises and heartfelt letters from people Morgan loves, leading up to the moment he asked her to be his forever. It was perfect. From awkward middle school moments to forever love, we’re so grateful for this story God has written—and we can’t wait to begin this next chapter together.
